2021 STUDENt SPOTLIGHT
APPLICATIONS DUE MONDAY, MARCH 15 @ 12:00 p.m.
The Mount Horeb Area Historical Society is seeking applicants for the 2021 Student Spotlight. This annual art show, developed in partnership with Mount Horeb High School teachers Anna King and Dana Showers, celebrates the talent of area youth and provides an opportunity for young artists to gain experience displaying and promoting their work in a professional setting. The selected student (or students) will serve as the featured artist and project manager of a six-week summer installation at the downtown Driftless Historium (100 S 2nd St). They will oversee a $250 budget for planning, promotion and execution of the Student Spotlight Art Show and a related reception. Applicants must be a current sophomore or junior at Mount Horeb High School, or studying at the equivalent educational level within the vicinity of the Mount Horeb Area School District. The application/postmark deadline is Sunday, March 15 by 12:00p.m. All applications will be reviewed by committee, with the selected student(s) announced on Wednesday, March 31, 2021.
