COVID-19 Resources & information

Museum Updates

We are currently open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, 10am to 4pm.

The ability to minimize risk and protect the safety of our Volunteers, Guests and Staff continues to drive all decisions.
Public safety protocols have been implemented including, but not limited to, encouraging face coverings for everyone who enters the facility (particularly those who have not received a COVID vaccine), limiting the number of people in the building and increased cleaning procedures.

Read more about our guidelines and requirements pertaining to visitor safety, protective equipment, hygiene, cleaning, and procedures and protocol for ill or potentially ill staff, volunteers and guests in our COVID-19 POLICY.

You might also consider a Self-Guided Tour by Appointment.
We now offer scheduled museum access to our Members (for FREE!) and the public (starting at $25). This opportunity will include a two-hour block of reserved time in the Driftless Historium for you and your party (maximum of six if in one household; maximum of four if a mixed household group).

Learn more and make your reservation HERE.

Changes to Events and Programs
We have reduced and modified onsite events, and regularly offer virtual programs. We continue to seek creative ways to engage with our community and share the Driftless Historium's outdoor, downtown spaces.  For questions about upcoming events and opportunities, check out EVENTS page or email mthorebhistory@mhtc.net or 608.437.6486.

Stay healthy and informed!
For general updates and recommendations related to the coronavirus, refer to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. We are also closely monitoring data and guidance provided by Public Health Madison & Dane County as we consider and implement any public health strategies and policy.
