MY MUSICAL SUMMER
CALL FOR PHOTOS
What was the soundtrack to your 2023 summer?
The Driftless Historium (100 S 2nd St, Mt Horeb) is seeking digital photographs that capture your musical memories. Anyone who lives or works within the greater Mount Horeb area is eligible to participate. There are no age restrictions. Did you travel across the state (or nation) to a packed stadium to see your all-time favorite band –or finally get a seat at the musical that’s been on your bucket list? Does your family have a favorite patch of Grundahl Park grass at Wednesday Night Live? Did you take advantage of other live music events, perhaps at Music on the Mound, the Summer Frolic or Brix Cider’s Burning Troll? Or maybe an impromptu guitar solo around the backyard firepit is more your style? All submissions will be added to the permanent archives of the Mount Horeb Area Historical Society, with select images reproduced as enlarged photo prints in the exhibit “My Musical Summer.” In addition, a companion exhibit on the MHAHS website will share even more community photos. “My Musical Summer” will debut in the museum’s Kalscheur Family Foundation Community Gallery on Saturday, September 23; it will be free and publicly accessible during the museum’s open hours (Friday through Tuesday, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm) through Thanksgiving weekend. |
