2023 STUDENt SPOTLIGHT

APPLICATIONS DUE SUNDAY, JANUARY 15, 2023.

The Mount Horeb Area Historical Society is seeking applicants for the 2023 Student Spotlight.

This annual art show, developed in partnership with Mount Horeb High School teachers Anna King and Dana Showers, celebrates the talent of area youth and provides an opportunity for young artists to gain experience displaying and promoting their work in a professional setting.

The selected student (or students) will serve as the featured artist and project manager of a six-week summer installation at the downtown Driftless Historium (100 S 2nd St). They will oversee a $250 budget for planning, promotion and execution of the Student Spotlight Art Show and a related reception.

Applicants must be a current Sophomore, Junior or Senior at Mount Horeb High School, or studying at the equivalent educational level within the vicinity of the Mount Horeb Area School District. Artistic medium is negotiable, based on suitability for display.

Download the application on this page, or call the Driftless Historium at 608-437-6486 to request a paper copy.

Completed forms can submitted via email to mthorebahs@gmail.com or mailed to "MHAHS, 100 S 2nd St, Mt Horeb, WI 53572." The application/postmark deadline is Saturday, January 15, 2023.
